The usually start listening at 16 week appointment, my midwife did manage to pick it up around 13 weeks but only because we were unsure of dates. It's usually harder to get before 16 weeks and they don't like to cause panic

In my area the midwives won't try to listen in until 25 weeks, just incase they can't find it and cause panic.

We were able to hear at both 16 weeks and 20 week appointments with the midwife.

Mine does it every visit from 16 weeks but I heard it at a consultant appointment at 6 weeks I think.

I had my 28 week midwife appointment today and she said they won't listen until 36 weeks! It all seems to differ by area, some start at 16 weeks but this is the latest I've heard...

In my area they start to listen at 16 weeks but the midwife was able to pick this baby's heartbeat up at my booking appointment because I was further along than I'd originally thought - about 11 weeks.
