I'm 25 weeks pregnant and the past few weeks some times finding it hard to breathe, I have to sit up completely straight or lie only on my side. I'm finding the office I work in really stuffy and it's hard trying to sit completely upright and straight all day. Anyone else feeling this?

Hi OP, I'm 24 weeks with twins, and am suffering on and off breathless spells - even sometimes when just lying in bed. I think it's normal as our heart and lungs are just working much harder than normal, and diaphragm is pressing upwards against the lungs a bit😊

In my case my haemoglobin levels were low so I was prescribed iron. They check your bloods at 28 weeks. After 3 weeks big difference in breathing and fatigue.

I’ve had short of breath since right at the beginning! It was the first thing I freaked out about before finding out I was preggers. I think I’ve just got use to it 😂 try yoga stretches especially cat cow & child’s pose to really open up your chest area as it helps SO much! It’s the only thing that’s got me through to 37 weeks and sitting upright on a exercise ball. Get your bloods and everything checked too though could be something else.

Just turned 25weeks today and I've been having this for about a week, mainly after eating dinner and then sitting on the sofa. I have been to the doctor and they have given me medication for asthma which has started to help (used to have to use an inhaler about 2years ago but was discharged from the asthma nurse)
