Leg cramp from sleeping

I'm 20 weeks pregnant (with my first baby) and have recently started waking up with a dull ache in my left leg (not a strong cramp), I think from sleeping on my left side. I was always a stomach or back sleeper so sleeping on my side is quite new to me. I've started using a normal cushion between my legs which is helping a little but not much. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, can they recommend anything? I'm not sure if a pregnancy pillow will help.
Thank you!

I found getting out of bed 100000 times to pee helped. I normally sleep on my side and still got the leg pain, extra weight i think

is there a swelling? is the left leg warmer to touch than the right?
if yes to either or both you need an urgent gp appointment to rule out dvt.

if not, taking magnesium before bedtime can help with cramps. also drinking lots of (mineral) water during the day.

A pregnancy pillow between the legs wouldn't be any more effective than a cushion, I don't think.

Mine goes away when I get up to wee; I also shift over to my right side sometimes for a treat. My midwife recommended quinine for cramps – drink a ginless G&T before bed!
