argh!! less than 3 weeks to go and suddenly noticed that my thighs (well the top bits near the "special" bits) really reall really rub now - probabl the severe odema/water retention been experiencing in my feet since two weeks doesn't help - but it may also be proper FAT rather than water on my thighs!!

argh!!!

i have put on 2 stone but have been pretty (if not too!!) active and have not over eaten at all

so is the end of me?? - from a nice 9 1/2 pretty muscly stone - to a fat walrus!!!??

argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bumbly - I put on 4stone...went from a lovely curvy 10st to a blubbery 14st hippo and my thighs were so big that the local birds mistook them for trees and wanted to build a nest! lol!

My thighs are rubbing together, it aint a good look and I have 12 weeks to go !! I'll be an elephant by that time. It's funny cos most books don't tell you the truth about the weight gain around the thighs and arse and the cellulite. aaaaaaaaargh !!
I keep telling myself it's fat stores for breastfeeding and I pray it'll go away !!
The thing is I have been exercising and eating healthily, It's just nature taking course I guess !!

2 stone fine IMO. I gained about 2 stone with both pregnancies, but it turned out that it was all water, placenta, baby etc. and by the time I got round to weighing myself again after birth had lost most of it. (Or it had been sucked out by ravenous babies).

PussinJimmyChoos · 08/07/2007 23:21

You lost most of it!!!

bumbly · 09/07/2007 09:33

platypus - really you lost all of it??? really??? 2 stone??

paraying avidly this will happen to me!

am just baffled at the upper thigh rubbing part of it..never expected that!

the whole world of pregnancy has been completely different to what i thought it would be like

things that i thought were going to happen never did - and things happened i never expected to!!

i feel your pain bumbly my thighs are also, well, not what they use to be

I started at 9.5st with DS1 and gained 4st and lost the weight and went down to 8st

with the others i've generally put on 2/3 stone but have now managed to stay at around 9st which i'm happy with

its easy(ish) to loose the weight but the changing bodyshape is what i found difficult to cope with - mind you i also think it to do with age now too!

naturelover · 10/07/2007 15:25

Glad it isn't just me. Thought I was eating really well and exercising regularly, but now have thighs that rub together when I walk (waddle)! It's my first baby so who knows when I'll lose the weight but I tell myself the fat stores are for breastfeeding...

cupcake78 · 10/07/2007 16:37

Yes my legs have also come a cropper to the old pregnancy weight gain.

I don't think I will ever be the same again.

honormay · 11/07/2007 12:01

I am on my third preganancy now, i put on 4.5st with my first and lost it all in 4 months though sheer tiredness and running around. I put on 3 st with my second and lost it in about 7 months, I am 21 weeks and have already put on 2 stone, I think most of it on my bottom and thighs and boobs!!! but running around after children and working is the best diet/excercise routine you can get!

The fat you tend to store on your thighs during pregnancy is stores for breast feeding providing you haven't pigged out too much. Therefore breast feeding will shift it.
