I'm currently 31 weeks and 2 days pregnant, last week I wiped and there was some pinkness on the tissue I noticed.

I booked into the doctors as I'd also had some heavier than usual discharge ( sorry for tmi ) the nurse did some swabs which came back as saying I had strep b and also some thrush. Just now as I went to the toilet and wiped there was a thick pink blob of discharge on the tissue. Not sure weather to do with the other problems I was having or slightly worried it could be mucus plug ? Baby very active btw and just wondering if anyone has any advice please?

Hi, I'm 29 weeks and today I also had a lot of thick discharge. I called the maternity unit as I was worried about it being my plug, and they said if there was no blood or other symptoms and baby was moving normally, to just keep an eye on it. If it's part of your plug it can regenerate and apparently not too uncommon for some to dislodge several weeks before birth :)

If it happens to you again and there's blood, call your midwife or maternity unit immidiately. Good luck!

Though you could always call the maternity unit now just to get peace of mind - they'll tell you if they think you should get checked and it's what they're there for :)
