I currently have a 4 month old and I've just found out I'm pregnant! Surprised to say the least!

Is it doable? I'm worried the stress and over tiredness will be too much, along with money worries!

Also, scared to tell work, I'm still on maternity leave now!

Help! Anyone been in a similar position?

@alex1616 hey I haven't had a small as gap as yours but I found out at my daughters first birthday by then I was 2 months and I was scared,
I won't lie to you it's hard it's so flipping hard some days and mine are 2 and nearly 4 now but it works out, the bond they have is great they keep each other company.
The downsides is the fighting the constant battle of who's getting my attention some days. It's more expensive like Christmas etc. But overall I'd do it again just make sure you have a lot of support but it's 100% doable x

I'm currently 38 weeks with DC2, and DC1 is 14 months old. We did plan for two close together, although I was shocked when I got pregnant on our first try given it took us 7 years to conceive DC1.

But up to now, the hardest part has been, being heavily pregnant with a soon to be toddler who is going through a food and sleep regression.

Im just hoping once baby is here, things will be easier, as I'll be able to do more physically than I can do now.

In some ways it's easier - we had DD when DS was 15 months old. They seemed to go through the various stages together. Was also great as activities were age appropriate for them both together.

Was hard work at times though - I remember the nappy conveyor belt well!

Congratulations!

Thanks for the replies/advice! Much appreciated!

Just struggling with what to do! I know we'd manage and make do it's just really scary! This was never planned but I suppose we are the only ones to 'blame' lol

And as for you - your a women we are strong and can do anything your a mother already and will just take every day as it comes - it can be difficult during the 1st trimester when Your tired all the time but there's is light at the end of the tunnel m. I'm pregnant with baby no 3 and currently have a 3 year old and a 18 month old. Its very worth it to see there little faces everyday. Just be ready to have baby brain for a bit longer!

No idea how far gone I am, as I also have PCO, so not had a proper period. I'll update as soon as I find out how far gone I am! xx

Hello! I was just scrolling through and saw your post! Did you find out how far along you are?
My son is 1yr old in may....and my daughter will be here in....3 weeks (elec c section) so 11 months between them.
This pregnancy was v.hard in first tri as i get very sick, 2nd was great and now in 3rd I've got pelvic girdle pain and i can't do much which leaves me feeling sorry for my 10month old as he wants to walk around holding my hands all the time but the bending kills meeeee!
You'll get through it. It will be tough and have ups and downs but i am looking forward to them hopefully being close and things will be better as they get older. Maybe? Ha!

Good luck with everything! If you want to message me in the future and find out how I'm getting along, feel free! 😅 x

My eldest 2 are 13 months apart. It's honestly not that bad. Routine is your friend though. I got mine into a good napping routine and got at least an hour through the day when they both napped. Worst bit is the double buggy lol. Also they're 7&8 now and the best of friends

alex1616 · 11/03/2019 10:53

Thank for your messages!

Don't know how far I am yet, I've been to the doctors and they have booked me in with the midwife for 21st March, so hopefully they can get me in for a scan ASAP so we can see how far gone I am. That's what we did with my first pregnancy, as again I don't have regular periods so I had no idea last time either!

I'll update as soon as I know :) xxx
