Hi guys. Just thought I'd make a new thread as the Oct and nov thread seem to have a lot of people who are ahead are behind. So just looking for some buddies to start this amazing journey.

I'm currently 6wk and 3 days. Luckily not has any nausea but eating a lot more and bloated loads! Also not been able to sleep past 3am!which is driving me mad!

Apart from that feeling blessed and on praying can get past 12 weeks soon xxxx

OP posts:

kgeal3 · 29/03/2019 16:26

@Bhappy12 ahh fingers crossed for you too that all is well with baby and I really hope we are just being irrational and everything is fine.
My nausea was constant too and then I've had 2 days of hardly feeling sick at all but it's back today (typically now I've paid for the scan)
I just feel I need to see him/her for this all to feel real and see that everything is ok so I can possibly relax until my official 12 week scan.

All the best for tomorrow, will update once I've had mine too xx

HJWT · 29/03/2019 17:57

@kgeal3 @Bhappy12
Ahh so exciting that you get to see you baby's! I would love to pay for a private scan but DH wont let me as we only saw baby last week and we have our 12 week scan a week on Wednesday! You will have to put some pics up as I didn't get one on the NHS!

My sickness is 90% gone now so it must be true the placenta takes over at 10 weeks! Hopefully it is worrying isn't it 😬 xx

CaramelCluster · 30/03/2019 10:45

Hope all goes well with the scans for today ladies! Private scans just give you that bit of reassurance, well worth the money I thought.

Unfortunately I was in hospital this week due to severe abdominal pain. I then had some bleeding which was fresh and got quite worried. I have a sharp pain in my left lower abdomen, and apparently I have something called red degenerating Fibroid. Very uncommon but causes horrific pain. Baby is fine, but haven't been able to attend work or get out of bed pretty much because of it, wouldn't wish this pain on my worst enemy!

HJWT · 30/03/2019 11:29

@CaramelCluster oh no that sound awful! At least baby is all ok! Iv been sorting DDs toys this morning and i got a shooting pain in my hoohaa 😂 this baby seriously hates me!!!

SBmummy1 · 30/03/2019 11:38

Hi, hope its ok to join so late, I'm due Oct 27th so 9weeks+6 today and I'm an anxious wreck, they booked my scan for 14 weeks but I cant carry on with my level of worry so booked a private scan for next weekend. I'm still doing regular pregnancy tests at the moment even though I know they would still show positive for a while even after a miscarriage, but it feels like the only reassurance I have. My nausea has disappeared in the last couple of days but I'm still super bloated and always tired. I just want to chill out and enjoy my pregnancy 😫

kgeal3 · 30/03/2019 11:49

Update on my scan.....everything is a ok! Phew! So all my anxiety was for nothing.ive also been dated a week ahead so not 10+2 weeks I'm 11+2 so new due date is 18th October. I'm so relieved and happy 💗💙

Bhappy12 · 31/03/2019 10:03

@SBmummy1- It's so hard isn't it? Hopefully your scan next weekend will help you relax a bit, early pregnancy is especially scary, so hopefully, once the early stage is over you can relax and enjoy being pregnant :)

@kgeal3 - So relieved your scan went well, and how exciting that you're further along than you thought!

I didn't have a scan in the end - there was an admin error with the place I booked it, so we turned up and couldn't have it. I have to be honest -I sobbed like a baby when I found out, but we've rebooked for Wednesday, so not too long to wait - I just hope my nerves can cope that long.

kgeal3 · 31/03/2019 10:08

@SBmummy1 oh I'm sorry, that's such a disappointment, I'd have sobbed too. Hope they are giving you a discount for the inconvenience.
Wednesday will soon come around.
I think now I can relax (for now🙈) I said to the lady I'm sure she'll see me again throughout my pregnancy, so amazing seeing my little wiggler on the screen 🥰
All the best for Wednesday x

HJWT · 31/03/2019 13:37

@kgeal3 ah congrats on the scan!! I managed to find baby's heartbeat with the doppler the other night so now I am starting to feel a bit excited 😁 xx

kgeal3 · 31/03/2019 14:06

@HJWT fabulous! Such a good feeling reaching this milestone isn't it. I'm going to get a Doppler too, I know some people don't agree with them but just for fun I think its lovely to be able to hear Bubba at home xx

HJWT · 01/04/2019 09:26

@kgeal3 yes definitely! Its just nice for the family to hear it to as they cant come to scans and apps! Xx

kgeal3 · 01/04/2019 15:20

@HJWT I've got one today but can't find the heartbeat yet. Will keep trying over the next few weeks 🤞🏻

HJWT · 03/04/2019 07:02

@kgeal3 I found it last week at 10+4 but I had to press quite hard xx

Em39ma · 03/04/2019 07:30

Morning all
We went for our second scan on Monday.
Happy to announce I’m having a squid 🦑. 11+3 today all looking good

Due date 25th Oct.. who is with me?!
HJWT · 03/04/2019 07:53

@Em39ma aw congrats! Iv got my 12 week scan a week today and I cannot wait! 🥰 then 3 weeks till we find out what we are having 😁

Who else is finding out the sex? 💙💗

Em39ma · 03/04/2019 08:04

Thanks @HJWT
We have another in 2 weeks. Baby was being stubborn and wouldn’t stretch out to be measured. By the measurement they got dates right. Will do the NICT then too, and if I need too, will then get the harmony test.

HJWT · 03/04/2019 08:13

@Em39ma I had a blood test at my booking in app last week when she ask me if i want the combined scan so does that mean iv had the NICT test ? Cant remember what she said 😁😂 x

Em39ma · 03/04/2019 08:35

I’m not sure. They keep saying things to me. All I know is I said I wouldn’t have an ammio and would pay for the harmony if the results came back as high risk.

Bhappy12 · 03/04/2019 14:50

@Em39ma - I think we're at exactly the same day. I'm having my first scan this afternoon and am so nervous. Glad your little one is doing well, what a gorgeous picture! :)

@HJWT Yay! Hope you get lots of lovely time looking at your baby. We're not going to find out what we're having (I think, we might change our mind by 20 weeks) How exciting that you'll know so soon!

NMCB · 03/04/2019 14:53

Hi

Newbies welcome?

Due 29th October. This is my first baby and I’m so excited and scared.

We had a miscarriage last year so this year I had private scan at 7+3 and all was fine but the wait to the 17th April for my 12 week scan feels like forever!!

I’ve had barely any symptoms and although most will say I’m lucky I just want to feel pregnant all the time....is that a bit weird?

T x

Thunderwing · 03/04/2019 15:14

Hi,

Another newbie to the group!

I think I am due around 25th October but will have it confirmed at my scan on the 17th April (waves to scan-buddy NMCB)

This is my 4th pregnancy - 1st ended in MC at 7 weeks, 2nd is now a lively 6yr old DD and my 3rd is 11 months old - hence the confusion with dates, I've only had 1 period since DD2 was born Blush

I feel awful though, I had HG with both DD's and I don't seem to be faring any better this time round. I've been prescribed Ondansetron again which allows me to function semi-normally during the day. I am so so so tired though, but unfortunately day time naps are discouraged in my office Grin

Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

NMCB · 03/04/2019 15:17

@Thunderwing oh wow you’re on the 2 week count down 2......hurry up 17th Grin

Thunderwing · 03/04/2019 15:23

Good luck to all those having scans today Smile

In the interest of full disclosure I should say that my oldest was diagnosed with Down's Syndrome after she was born. As I said in my previous post, she is now a lively 6 year old!

I mention this only because I know that the early tests are a very scary time. I was tested for everything with both my pregnancies and came back as low risk each time, so her diagnosis came as a total surprise.

If anyone getting scans/test results has any questions, I just want to say that I am happy to talk, privately if preferred - please know that there will be no judgement from me at all in respect of decisions that are (or have previously been) made. I just know that when it was all new to me, I would have appreciated being able to speak to someone with lived experience.

Thunderwing · 03/04/2019 15:28

It still feels slightly surreal to me if I'm honest NMCB - this pregnancy was totally unplanned (though not unwanted Smile)

I thought that my periods were just screwed up because I'm still breastfeeding, and I put the tiredness down to the fact I was running round after 2 kids Grin

When I had my booking appointment with the midwife, she actually said "I don't suppose anything much has changed since last year?!"

NMCB · 03/04/2019 15:33

@Thunderwing that's so lucky! My husband and I have been trying for 16 months which has been an awful time....but right now it's completely worth it
