Bleeding at 6 weeks

Hi ladies, just looking for some advice found out on Monday I’m pregnant. Showed up on clear blue test as 2-3 weeks. Starting experiencing some cramps the following day and very light pink / brown discharge. Went to the doctors as the next day I started to bleed pink and more watery. During doctors visit he stated this was normal as it’s implantation cramps and everything stretching and this is why I had cramps. Told me to keep an eye on it and if it gets heavier to go back and I will be referred for an early scan. I am still bleeding and now it seems be a brighter red but no pains and no clots. I do have an uncomfortable belly as I am constipated and struggle to go toilet. Does anyone have any advice or can shed some light? As all I’m doing is working myself up and worrying that I’m about to lose this baby 😣

If he said to go back if it gets heavier then I'd call in the morning and get an appointment and see if they can refer you to the EPU. If it's changed anyway, to red blood it's worth getting checked out. While it can mean something bad, it can also be nothing and it seems positive if you aren't cramping now.

Ah bless you. It’s very common in the early days and if you’re worried the early pregnancy unit is the best place to go. Don’t know where you are, but can you go there via the hospital rather than waiting for a gp referral. For what it’s worth i had very severe bleeds many times in my last pregnancy a few months ago and lo and behold little one was absolutely fine so I get where you’re coming from. Hope all is well. X

I'm 8 weeks pregnant and at 6 weeks had really heavy bleeding, I had to wait 3 days for an appointment at the early pregnancy unit but all was well with baby. The bleeding was a haemorrhage in the uterus. I would book an appointment for a scan to put your mind at rest. Good luck xx

Yeah no cramps just trapped wind so trying to force it. Drinking plenty of water etc. Hoping everything is okay it's so frightening to be honest. I'll phone doctors tomorrow and see when they can get me in for early scan, I was told they don't like to early scan as they can be inaccurate? But the blood is gone back to a light pink colour as it was to start with rather than red blood. I'll phone doctors tomorrow as if I then up at the epu I'm not sure they'll see me without a doctor referral?

I spoke to a gp over the phone who told me he tbought i may be having a miscarriage. I called epu directly the next day without a gp referral and just asked to be seen because I needed to know either way what was happening. I was 6+4 weeks when I went. Because I was so early I had to have a vaginal scan, but could clearly see the sac, tiny baby and flashing light which was his/her heart. Best of luck to you xx

That's what I'm gonna do, I'm gonna ring the EPU tomorrow and tell them I've been to the GP I'm still bleeding and I'm frightened and want to be checked over to make sure everything is okay. They can't refuse me can they?xx

Hi, just wondered how you were getting on? I don’t think they can refuse you but may say it’s too early for certain scan as per pp. it’s very scary I know but try to relax a little. Give them a call they will instruct you what to do and best of luck x

The bleeding has now more or less stopped and it's there it's light pink. Not sure if I had a few days of implantation and stretching xxx

Went to the doctors this morning ladies referred me early scan on Friday I will then be 7 weeks won't scan me on anything under 7 weeks. Fingers crossed all is okay 👍 xx

I'm pleased that you're going on Friday, hopefully the bleeding will subside in the meantime like mine did and you'll see your tiny baby. Keep us posted x

I really hope so it's getting less and less but it's still there that's what worries me, I can't help but worry and I know doing that isn't helping the baby I need to calm down xxx
