39 +2 today. Starting bmi was 24. I've gained 2 stone 2 lbs. so I'm within the 'healthy' weight gain of 25-35 lbs for normal bmi. but my start bmi was considerably higher than yours!!

Just eat sensibly and when you're hungry - don't worry about the rest!!

OpportunityKnocks · 03/03/2019 15:06

34 weeks and 35lbs so far. I'm really annoyed as I went into this pregnancy with great intentions, a great diet, great exercise routine but it's been a rough one and I haven't eaten well or exercised at all. I'm still doing better than my first pregnancy though.

Helsvamp · 03/03/2019 15:32

I gained 12lb up to 16 weeks . As most from xmas And New Years gain then no gain for 4 weeks. Then have gain 3lb 2 weeks straight and not eaten anything extra and been gym 2 days a week

WiseBlankie · 03/03/2019 16:50

None. I am 20 weeks, starting BMI of 22.

This is weird, I know. Baby is growing on schedule (just a little undersized) so it's basically eating me from the inside so far.

scratchbass · 03/03/2019 16:59

Now 16 weeks and I've put on a pound, although a new belly is definitely forming. My 12 week BMI was 22.

E20mom · 03/03/2019 17:05

The thinner you are the more you should gain

Echomama · 03/03/2019 20:12

Currently 40+2
Started at maybe 18bmi? 53.5kg put on 10.7kg
And tbh, I've actually put on muscle and lost some fat since pregnancy too! Yay squats and arms! 😉
Totally dependant on your body and water weight! Definitely not about the thinner you are the more you should gain bs.

Hstarr · 03/03/2019 20:18

Im 37 weeks and so far have put only 12 pounds on, have had a growth scan and the baby is roughly 6.3 pounds at the moment.

Bigonesmallone3 · 03/03/2019 20:22

Bmi of 20.4 to begin with..
24 weeks
Gained 9lb so far..

Bernifal · 04/03/2019 10:10

I was 103kg when I got pregnant and now at just 22weeks I’m 112kg. Year before last I was 120 so maybe this weight gain is partly to do with all those fat cells that didn’t quite leave me just getting filled up again real easy. I try to exercise 3x a week, and since last week’s discussion with a midwife about gestational diabetes I’ve cut out sugar. I’m hoping I won’t gain any more but I’m SO TIRED and hungry all the time! This is my first pregnancy.

beanhunter · 04/03/2019 10:12

34 weeks. Lost a stone by 13 weeks. Gained back 9 of those so far. Don’t recommend hyperemesis.

Bernifal · 04/03/2019 10:14

*BMI is 36 sorry, I’m new so I guess there’s not an edit button

PBobs · 04/03/2019 11:26

26 weeks. 22.9 starting BMI. Have gained around a stone. Didn't gain anything until week 16 or so.

Lovewinemorethanhusband · 04/03/2019 11:52

I'm nearly 29 weeks and have gained 3lbs so far this is the only pregnancy I've actually put on weight, I was bigger to start with my BMI was 30.1 at booking in

HalfBloodPrincess · 04/03/2019 12:00

I think my bmi at booking was 27.something.
I’ve gained about 5lb at 29 weeks.

My previous pregnancies I gained 1lb, 10lb and 87lb!

purplemama1990 · 04/03/2019 12:48

I started off with BMI of around 18.3, similar to yourself. I'm now 21 weeks, and I've gained 17lbs already. I only started gaining after 13 weeks, which means I've gained around 2lbs a week since then, higher than the normal recommended of 1lb a week, so I'm trying to eat better and get some exercise down to slow down my weight gain. I realised I started with a lower BMI than most so should gain more, but I still don't want to gain too much throughout the pregnancy.

RosieEffect · 04/03/2019 12:54

I'm 39+5 and have gained 3 stone. Was overweight to begin with (BMI 29) and really disappointed with myself. Sad

CobaltRose96 · 04/03/2019 12:57

I started off with a BMI of 22. I'm now 39 weeks and have gained 17lbs.

buddy79 · 04/03/2019 14:17

Gained 10kg (22 lb), I’m 33 weeks and bmi was 19.3 to start with. This is my second pregnancy and I feel like it’s skightly more than my first when babe was 9.1 lb when he arrived (I’m 5’2!!). I was wondering if this was a bit much but I have also read if yr bmi is lower you’d expect to gain a bit more.

MeredithGrey1 · 04/03/2019 14:19

I started off with a BMI of 17.5 and I'm now 24 weeks and have gained 16lbs.

My3boys9910 · 04/03/2019 17:50

Im 5ft 2 & usually 10stone...bmi is 24 i think (just over the healthy mark)...I put on 21lb all in all by the time i had the baby.So i was 11st 7lb.. 1stone dropped off within 2 weeks and the other 7lb slowly followed...i think if your very very slim you gain more...If your quite curvy already you have enough reserves as such lol x

MrsBadCrumblesClarinet · 04/03/2019 19:50

My BMI was 24 at booking, I'm 35 weeks and have gained about 2 stone. Last time I gained 4 so I'm pretty proud of myself! I've had hyperemesis this time so lost some at the start but generally been more sensible.

sh13 · 04/03/2019 22:04
