7 weeks blood streaked discharge - tmi warning

I am 7+1 and yesterday when I went to the toilet (sorry this is the tmi bit) I had a blob of mucous/discharge which was sort of yellowy (definately wasn't creamy white) in colour and which had a slight streak of blood through it). Had nothing else all day or night until this morning when i've had the same again. In between I have had some creamy white and some clear ewcm type discharge. No pain or anything at all.

I am so worried and don't no where to turn. The EPU is closed with it being Sunday. Don't think an out of hours doctor could do anything. I don't even know what my first port of call tomorrow would be?

Hi sweet, abit different but I had some brown discharge in my underwear last night and same again this morning
Not much but still very worrying. I have a call with the midwife tomorrow but I will mention it to her and see what she says. I'm 6-7 weeks pregnant with my first x

I had blood stained discharge and brown spotting at 7 weeks. My midwife reassured me that it is a very common symptom in early pregnancy (although understandably worrying). Unless the bleeding gets heavier or you’re having severe cramps I very much doubt an EPU will see you, they’ll just provide you with reassurance. As I was still worrying I paid to have a private scan at 8 weeks and little bean was fine.

Thanks so much for the replies, I hope you are ok holiday it is so worrying isn't it. I really can't bear the anxiety that the first trimester brings. I had some brown discharge around this time with both my dcs 1 and 2 and all was ok so fingers crossed for you. This seems different, however the quantites are smaller.

That is so reassuring to hear thank you goblet as this is different to the brown spotting i've had in my other pregnancies.

I actually got through to the emergency department at my maternity hospital (I just rang the switchboard but they put me through here). They just said to monitor unless as you have said it gets heavy or painful. I am toying with paying for a private scan as you have said. It is such an anxious time isn't it?

It is an anxious time yes. But please try not to worry, there are so many reasons why you might have a bit of spotting and as it hasn’t progressed then this is a good sign! It could just be a bit of old blood that your body is getting rid of, or your cervix could have been slightly irritated for whatever reason.
I found the private scan to be worth it, we got the reassurance we needed and the heartbeat was seen. If this is going to worry you up until your 12 week scan then I would definitely consider one. Good luck x
