Early pregnancy with cyst

I am 7 weeks (going by my dates) pregnant, I went for an early reassurance scan due to pains on my right side and they quickly measured baby ( 6w2d) going by scan. They came across a cyst on my right ovarie measuring 5cm. They didn't give me much reassurance on baby just booked me in for another scan in two weeks to check the cyst. Asked me do I feel pregnant and honestly I dont feel much different, only thing my belly seems bloated and my breast are slightly sore but other than that I dont feel pregnant at all. They looked at me with concern but never said anything about it. This is my second pregnancy and had no complications with my first. I'm just worried, told me if I've any bleeding or pain to phone or go straight to a&e. I'm still having the pains, and just dont feel like everything is okay but dont want to be a pain and go back up to the hospital. Has anyone had the same? I just need a bit more reassurance that baby is okay.

Hì hun how are you feeling ?

I've had surgery on my ovaries 3 times for cysts.

My last pregnancy i had to have scans every couple weeks for ovarian cysts. It didn't affect my baby in the slightest he is now a healthy one year old and this time my cysts disappeared after he came it can happen.

I know it's worrying but please just relax and just go with what your medical professionals are telling you they are clearly keeping a eye on it. Just any pain or heavy bleeding get to a hospital.

Congratulations on your pregnancy and try to enjoy it xxx

I just cant help to worry as I just dont feel pregnant. I still get positive tests, and their was a little bean there in the scan but I dont think with my first pregnancy I felt as well. I wasn't sick but I had nausea and was extremely tired. I suppose it's a good thing that I am feeling alright but just seems to make leave me anxious.

I'm glad to hear that you have been through similar and all was okay with your baby. I'm keeping an eye on my pains- maybe a little too much though. I'm convincing myself a wee niggling pain or an ache is this massive pain. Lol

Did you have surgery before you had your baby? They where talking about if they had to do any surgery they would have to wait till after 12 weeks but if im honest I don't think I would like to have surgery unless its really necessary cause obviously it still has its risks.

Thank you so much xxx

I know you probably can’t help worrying. I have a large cyst on my ovary, around 9cm. I am also 23 weeks pregnant. We discovered my cyst at a reassurance scan too and I have had a few extra scans but the baby is well and the cyst isn’t growing too much. In the end they have decided they won’t touch it until the baby arrives and consider taking it out after the birth.

I know it is worrying but in my case it hasn’t affected the pregnancy at all apart from occasional discomfort.
