Hi I’m just starting to ttc no1 but I’m just wondering if anyone can help me
or have been in my situation please and can tell me their stories, I had my implanon removed on January 7th 2019
I had the implanon implant for little off 4 and half years one for 3 years and replaced and taken out just under a year and half later, I never had a period on the implant. However since removal nearly 2 months ago I have had no af had one hour of bleeding on the 24th January but that’s it. I have taken pregnancy test every week but all negative have had all symptoms you can think off but it probably was just the result of the implant being removed.. I said to myself I wouldn’t start using ovulation kits until April so i be more relaxed about everything for the first few months. I’m just starting to get anxious about everything even though I know it can take months to a year for everything to start to be normal again, I would really like some feedback please and thank you 😊 x

I am afraid there's nothing I can say except try to be patient. When I came off the implant it took 5 months before I ovulated. If you weren't having periods on the implant, it'll take time for your natural cycles to return.

Sorry, I know that's not good news!

You could always try a month of the pill to sort of kick start your periods back? When I had my implant my cycle was whacked and I bled for a week every other week for agggges, pill helped to get it back into a sort of normal rhythm and then it didn't take long for my normal rhythm to take back over.
Gl to you

Hi I had this too, I had it removed April 2014 I didn’t ovulate until Feb 2015. It took forever then it took us 6 months to get pregnant. You need to be patient it can be a long process. Good luck x

My periods came back within a matter of days of getting mine out, it wasn’t to ttc though- maybe wait another month and then see the gp x

Agree with the pill comment. I had the implant removed and then went on the pill to get things going. Once I stopped the pill I had a period 28 days later. But then I was having annoying periods on the implant. One where I spotted for a whole month Angry
