Painful let down?

I'm 34 weeks pregnant with my second child and I've been experiencing painful let downs this time. It's mostly when I bend over. Anyone else experiencing the same. I didn't experience any let downs in my first pregnant. Just when I was breastfeeding.

Same story here- dc2 and I’ve been getting these pains since about 34 weeks (39 now). I find releasing a bit of colostrum can help with the prickly sensations, but obviously can’t do that while I’m walking round Sainsbury’s, so mainly have to put up with it.

With dc1 I didn’t get them, but I did leak uncontrollably from about 35 weeks so I’m not sure which is preferable!

@PennyMordauntsLadyBrain thanks for the reply! It's horrible isn't it! Just curious, can releasing colostrum cause preterm labour? If not, I might give it a go.

I checked with my midwife and it was fine- it’s literally one squeeze for relief rather than continuous handexpressing.

Maybe check with yours? I’ve never got so much as a twinge from doing it, but I can’t speak for everyone!
