Having read reviews on here and also hearing of issues that some have had with retailers such as Peppermint, I'm reluctant to make the trip, especially as have been feeling quite rotten this week.

If anyone has been to the baby show today, would appreciate your views on whether you think it's worthwhile? I'm specifically looking at getting a Bugaboo travel system and car seat bundle. Any opinions gratefully received.

Hi OP, I'm heading there this afternoon - also looking at a Bugaboo travel system - quite keen on the idea of the 'buggy testing track' where you can try them out on different terrains! Will let you know whether it was worth the trip...

Just leaving now. We found it really useful - particularly the buggy testing track! Also iCandy launched a new buggy - Lime - at the show. In the end, after planning on a Bugaboo we ended up buying an Uppababy Cruz at the show. Was great being able to compare things side-by-side.

In terms of other products, there wasn't much that grabbed our attention, but again it was great to be able to compare lots of products in one place. Well worth it.

Loved it the last time we were pregnant.
Bought all our nursery furniture there and our travel system. It was great to be able to try everything side by side and talk to specialists as opposed to people in a department store who change department every day.
Lots of extra bits like bamboo towels, a sling/carrier, perfect prep etc.
A bit annoyed that we are on holiday this week (and it's too early to start shopping) but typically the next one is on my due date!

Thanks for your replies Nic & Billie. Sorry I didn’t reply sooner, Mumsnet won’t let me login with my original account or reset my details, so had to create a new one. 🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

I think there is another baby type show in April, Billie. Might give this one a go tomorrow!

I went yesterday and was really pleased ! We got the Uppababy Cruz much cheaper than we had previously seen it and ordered our furniture. We also got lots of other bits to take away. What I found useful was to make a list of what we liked. Then we had lunch and I looked through it all and double checked online for prices. Some things aren’t that much cheaper but there are deals to be had. And some things I hadn’t seen before. Plus some interesting talks to attend. Enjoy !

We went on Friday and found it really good. It wasn't crowded at all.
We knew we wanted the Babba bing pram but had only seen one colour as it hasn't been out long at all.
I was really impressed and they very kindly agreed to honour the show deal if we purchased from the independent retailer who have been amazing at guiding us to the right pram.
Definitely picked up some other deals too and it was just really handy having everything in one place and being able to compare.
We had nothing before we went so that may mean we found it more useful than others x
