Yesterday i went to the gp for suspected dehydration, and he gave me some tablets. I don't think the tablets have worked seeing as i still cant keep anything down. my urine is basically orange it's so yellow.
I called gp this morning as he asked but he hasn't phoned me back yet.
Do i need to wait for him to phone me back or contact my midwife before i go to a&e and hopefully get an iv? I don't think i have any urine in me to bring a sample to a&e.
The mental toll this is taking on me in insane. I just want to be able to eat and drink and keep it down. I'm so exhausted from having no energy whatsoever.

Gp or a and e for your over all health. Gp is probably still with patients so maybe call the surgery back.

Your community midwife is for quirky questions and labour ward for pregnancy related emergencies or concerns you need immediate answer for.

GP would be better as they can refer you directly to the ward if you need admission whereas A&E will probably be a much longer wait. I would wait for them to phone you back and see what they say.

Wait to speak to the GP. A&E would be inappropriate and not where you want to be when you’re pregnant. Your GP will be able to refer you to EPAU.

From what I understand you'll need to do a wee in order for them to check your urine for ketones (a sign of dehydration) before they'll hook you up to a drip. So try and get a sample to hand for them.

Thanks guys.
I waited for my gp to contact me and I've been admitted to the ward for hg and severe dehydration.
On the plus side, i got to have a quick scan to see if baby is ok and all is good! First scan so it is a huge relief to had seen it flipping around :)
