Not sure when to do a pregnancy test

Hi everyone,
I am new to this so bare with me,
I have been ttc for only 2 months now and have been off contraception for 2 years as originally just wanted a break from it. My cycles have been ranging from 29 days to one time 37 days but on average 34 days.

my last cycle was 29 days and I was ovulating around the 12th day this month, it’s 35 days now on my Flo app but my last period started with just spotting and I wasn’t sure if to log this as my period or not? I’m not sure when to test?

I have been having cramps since just after ovulation which is abnormal for me as normally I just get cramps the day before or on the day of my period, lots of people have told me this is a good sign, and my mum said she had that when she had me.
Has anyone else had this and got a positive result?

I think I’m just worried about getting a negative result but maybe I’m just being impatient :)

My friend has a similar issues. She bought loads of cheapie tests from Amazon and tested every weekend after the time of her shortest cycle so she knew if she could drink. The cheaper tests are the same as the NHS ones.

I was told 15 days from ovulation so if you're sure when you ovulated buy some cheap ones and test.
A are you sure you ovulated that early? If you're period's are quite long it seems quite early for ovulation. Could it have been release pains? I get that sometimes

Yeah this month I used a clear blue ovulation test and it came up that I was peak fertility on the 12th it does seem quite early but I suppose if I was only 29 days on my last cycle it wouldn’t be that early if I carried on having 29 day cycles from then, I think I just need to do a test and see :), my cycle has been 35 days now so we will see, I will let you know x
