Bit of a rude awakening this morning... woke up from throwing up stomach acid... ew. 39 weeks today!! Either it just means muscles are relaxing even more (including ring of muscle at the top of stomach which its name escapes me at half six in the morning) or perhaps the start of things to come?

Anyone else get this??

Haven't been sick at all since about week 20.

Yep. 39+5 here and for the last week ive been waking up due to either sick in my throat or just to actually throw up. Mostly just stomach acid. Unfortunately I dont even wake up feeling sick but with it already in either my mouth or my throat. So i definately feel your pain.

Really do hope its a sign that the wait is almost over. Or thats what i keep telling myself to feel better anyway lol.

I haven’t experienced this (but I do get a lot of acid reflux in the day time which sometimes means a bit of sick might come up - eurgh!) but could prop yourself up more in the night - maybe an extra pillow? - to stop the acid from rising quite as much? Just a thought with no basis of proof!!

I didn't make it to 39 weeks but I had the same from about 36 weeks onwards and it was apparently reflux. An extra pillow and antacid medicine before bed got me through to the end!
