hi all.. wondered if anyone had any suggestions...

my two boys both have middle names begining with N, Tyler Nathan and Phoenix Neith.. if this baby is a girl we have chosen Eden Neveah, so again an N name! so being the sad saps we are we have decided to continue the trend if it is a boy... any ideas?? we have chosen Vann as his first name if it is a boy, so ideally a longer middle name, begining with N of course!

The only thing that springs to mind is Nathaniel, but we already have Tylers middle name as NAthan and would be too similiar... hmm maybe we should just ditch the trend, but please humour me if you have any suggestions!

It seems a bit odd to put a middle name beginning with N with a first name that ends in N. I'm afraid I can't think of one that gets past that problem. Hope you find one...

aimeesmummy · 06/07/2007 22:02

Have you thought about speech rolling off the first name straight into the 2nd with the same letter being at the end of the 1st name AND the start of the 2nd? Stepsons name is Adam Mark which sounds like Adamark when you say it which I think is a bit odd. Maybe its just me! Sorry Am being a bit of a pratt on MN tonight
Vann is a very unsual name, I can't think of anything equally unusual to go with it. First name I thought of was Nicholas.

kerioke · 06/07/2007 22:09

haha! you guys have pointed out something very obvious! it really wouldnt work cos of Vann ending with N... doh, really didnt think of that one!

Well gut instinct says its a girl and we were right the other times... but yes if it is a boy i think the trend ends there! HAHA

OT - my dd's name is Phoenix. Beautiful name for either boy or girl

aimeesmummy · 06/07/2007 22:21

I think you should go for "Damm" and pump him up with steroids...

kerioke · 06/07/2007 22:27

haha! aimeesmummy i had never thought of him.. oh god i think a complete name change is in order for a boy!
although we have no intention of putting claude at the begining!

Stargazing i agree, phoenix is a lovely unisex name... i like unisex names which is why i have tyler too and we've chosen Eden as a girl even though is more common as a boys name. I htought Tyler was a bit different without going too far but he shares his name with 3 others in his year so afetr that i was adamant not to get caught out! I do love the old fashoined names too tho!

My brother is a Van, middle name Adam, I've always thought it a lovely name although I suppose I am used to it! Agree it may be a bit awkward with the 'n's running together but then how often do you say your whole name out loud?

lallooooooo · 06/07/2007 22:50

Could use Vann as a middle name... But then it might sound like you had adopted him from Belgium or something!

boowidger · 06/07/2007 22:55

My brother gets away with it as dad of Dutch origin! Think it means 'of' or 'from' so Jean-Claude of Damme (which is a place).

boowidger · 06/07/2007 22:57

Sorry, that bit in brackets wasn't meant to sound so patronising!!!

aimeesmummy · 06/07/2007 22:57

Oy! What's wrong with Belgium? I was born there!!!!! Great chocolate....
