I'm 27 weeks but really want to get hospital bag organised as both my kids have been born at 31 weeks unexpectedly so I have never packed one!! can someone please write me a list that I can check off planning to breastfeed if possible. Thanks

Everything PP said.... other things to consider....Lots of snacks, peppermint tea for trapped wind (mine was super painful 😖), nice blankets for your baby, car seat, lots of big knickers, comfy clothes, mints, t-shirt and boxers for your other half maybe.

I just used dry shampoo as I have so much hair it would have been a nightmare to wash and I was in no position to shave after my c section so I was pretty low maintenance on toiletries- I didn’t even open my make up bag but moisturiser and lip balm were helpful.

I also didn’t use the breastpads as I didn’t leak colostrum but I needed more sanitary towels than I thought.

A water bottle that keeps it cold was very useful.

A keep-cold water bottle
Multiple pairs of big knickers
Flip flops for the shower
Breast pads x a million

Sports water bottle
Flip flops
Warm socks
Lip balm

I also packed individual ziplock bags with baby stuff I.e vest, baby grow, hat, nappy in each (purely to help DP if he needed to get stuff quick- and I was overdue and bored!) x

Half a bottle of champagne and two plastic glasses. GrinGrinGrin

It certainly gave the nurse a laugh when she had to unpack my bag for me after an EMCS.

In my pre-baby bubble I had a picture of DH and I in the hospital toasting DC's arrival. Funnily enough it never happened!
