First baby Vs Second + baby??

I had my first baby at 40weeks, he came naturally within 5 hours. I'm currently 38weeks pregnant with my second.

I'm just curious to whether people went into labour earlier with their second? & If it was quicker? (Been induced is a concern for me)

I just came on here to ask the same question! My first was born at 38 weeks, my waters broke in their own so was wondering if this baby is likely to come early too.

Had Dd at 37 weeks due to pre-eclampsia. Ds was a natural start to labour at 39 weeks. Hen finally arrived 39+5.

First son was 39+2 induced four hours from start to finish and back to back labour
Second son was 39 +2 natural 11 hours back to back also.
Second labour was a hell of a lot worse in my opinion. Everybody says induction is worse but my experience seemed to be opposite! Xx

I had my first 2 days early, from waters breaking (with no contractions) to birth (back to back) was 7 hours. Contractions started about 3hrs after waters going.
My second born was 7 days late, from
Contractions starting to birth was 4 hours and water broke after 3 hrs!

@AJB3001 I agree my induced labour was 17 hours from induction with 4 hours in labour. Ds was stop start, loss of heartbeat at one point, it felt so much more stressful.

My first went in to labor 39+4 and had her 39+6 was a horrible labor! And my second was 37+5 and 7 hours

First went into labour at 40+5, delivered at 40+6. Back to back labour, failed ventouse followed by a forceps delivery.

Second was breach. Planned csection for 38+6. But went into spontaneous labour and had csection the day before.

I don’t do easy straightforward births, it would seem.

Dc1 39+4 spontaneous labour
Dc2 39+6 due Friday and doesn't appear to be budging as of yet....

Reading all these much much shorter second labours is giving me panic! Don't think I'll even have time to pick my bag up nevermind make it to the hospital if I follow suit....

My first was 3 days of early labour (although I wasn't sure that's what it was) but when my waters went (spontaneously) my dd was out within 1hr 50 mins.
I've not had #2 yet and there's still a very very long way to go, but I'm going to be prepared for speed.

First 41+5, went into labour with a sweep.
Second 41+3, was due to be induced the morning he was born but he came on his own thank God.
Very quick labour about 5 hours total compared with 36 the first time.
