Advice from 9 week scan ref 12 week scan

Hi ladies. I had an early 9 week reassurance scan last Saturday as I had a mmc in July last year and the anxiety was getting me down. All is well but the lady that did it said to be prepared as at the 12 week scan it may be hard to get a clear picture of baby because not only have I got a tiled cervix but I have a slight heart shaped womb too. She wasn’t worried at all but just wanted to give me the heads up. Has anyone had similar ? Xx

I have the same (am 10 weeks) and they just do internal scans until it's bigger.

I have a retroverted (tilted) uterus and all its meant is that in both my pregnancies both my 12 weeks scans have been internal as even though I have a healthy BMI even with a full bladder they couldn’t get a clear enough picture doing a normal scan. It’s also meant both time because of the position of the baby they’ve not been able to get a proper nuchal measurement so we’re unable to do the combined screening test and I had to wait until 16 weeks to have the quad blood test done instead. Hope that helps x
