I'm 30+3 and have recently lost my apetite, should I worry?
My BMI is 32 (yeah, yeah, I know. . .) so my body could probably do with losing a bit of weight but hope it doesn't compromise baby in any way.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not doing it on purpose but I'm not bothered by it either, just wondered if anyone else has had the same thing happen and what the consequences were?

I'm Ok in the morning, breakfast goes well, but lunch and dinner I just don't seem to be able to eat very much!
(DD is eating more than me and she's only 2!! LOL)
Any advice? Thanks

I found at that stage in my pg, my appetite dropped as I couldn't eat a lot in one sitting due to heartburn. So i just used to eat little and often through the day. at the end of the day babby will take exactly what they need from you from whatever you're supplying!! As I got later on, and the baby dropped, I found my appetite grew a bit.

I am 32wks pg and i haven't felt or wanted to eat the whole of this pregancy.

I am so fed up with eating because it is time to eat.

Mind you the baby is getting bigger so your stomach is getting smaller.

With my last one I could eat very little

She was fine (though little as all of mine have been)

Hi

Im another who has had a poor appetite throughout my pregnancy. The OH has often been worried about how much Im eating.

Doesnt seem to have made much difference to the size of my bump though! My fundal height has been and remains above the 90th percentile! Im at 35 weeks now.

Hi Kyala - am 28+1 and lack of appetite kicked in for me 2 weeks ago. I spoke to my midwife who assured me that there was nothing to worry about. The baby will continue to take what it needs from us!
Her only advice was to try and increase snacks between main meals - dried apricots especially good to boost iron intake - eat little and often.

My dinner for the last two weeks consists of two slices of toast with marmite and a cup of ovaltine! that is all i can face and stomach and I am still doing great!

If it's any consolation I had morning sickness for 14 weeks then a truly rubbish appetite for the rest of the pregnancy (and I usually love my food) yet had a healthy 7lb 13oz baby.
