Am I pregnant?!

Hello,

Right so, I had my implant or about 5 weeks ago after not having a period for the 3 years of having it! I then have been having unprotected sec with my partner and started feeling odd this past week... I haven't bled yet but I did go to the drs after having really sore breasts and she said there is a slight chance I could be pregnant without bleeding as my body can still release the egg..

So I got some tests and I did 3 all of which looked negative at first until about 8-10 mins which is when a positive line showed up!

I really don't want to get my hopes up, as these are only test strips from boots and I don't know how reliable they are....

am I pregnant?

Those lines aren't even faint! Congrats Grin

Poppymailaw · 28/02/2019 15:52

@My3boys9910 I will deffo get one! I'm just worried because the negative line came up first then the positive about 10 mins later 😩

@NannyPear thank you! I really hope I am, I'm just worried because the negative line came up first then the positive about 10 mins later, they are quite dark

Congrats 😊

LadyOfTheFlowers · 28/02/2019 15:55

The test line appears first or negative line as you call it but the positive line can't appear without the hormone being present 🤷🏼‍♀️
Get a more expensive one for the morning if you prefer for extra reassurance but I've successfully identified 5 pregnancies with this type correctly

IlonaRN · 28/02/2019 15:56

Definitely pregnant!
Congratulations!

MrsWolfe · 28/02/2019 15:58

Absolutely pregnant. Congrats! Thanks

Poppymailaw · 28/02/2019 16:11

@LadyOfTheFlowers going to get another test to do in the morning! Sorry this is my first baby so I'm pretty useless about what everything's called! But thank you for your help :))

@Poppymailaw
Sorry if I sounded off I was answering in a hurry 😊

GabbyGal · 28/02/2019 16:41

I agree that they look positive however if the line didn’t show up for 8-10 mins I don’t think you should rely on the result. Maybe try a first response or a clear blue digital tomorrow morning?

Poppymailaw · 28/02/2019 17:14

@GabbyGal that's what I was thinking :( because I thought they were ment to show up wishing 2-3 mins... I'm going to get another test for the morning and I'll let you know what that says! But fingers crossed as I'm so happy and I would hate for it to be a failed positive 😭

@Poppymailaw those test strips say look after 5 mins hun xx

Rtmhwales · 28/02/2019 19:11

I got pregnant while on the implant and not having had a period for 5 years so it's possible. Looks positive to me.

Bigonesmallone3 · 28/02/2019 19:13

It's looking good!
I'm intrigued to see the morning test..

TokenGinger · 28/02/2019 22:56

This thread has confused me. Every single other thread I've seen has said disregard if if you're looking at it past the time that you should, as evap lines can form. I'd try on a FRER or digital with FMU before you get excited.

Mrsmummy90 · 28/02/2019 22:59

They look very positive x

JuniperNarni · 28/02/2019 23:00

@TokenGinger you are right but they are definitely not evap lines they look very positive and can't get a positive line without the hormone present. Evap lines don't have colour, especially not dark colour.
