I’m just over 6 weeks and finding that I’m getting very easily irritated by the smallest of things - especially people - who I have no right or reason to be irritated with. Can anyone reassure me this is normal and that it’s going to pass soon - I’m annoying myself by feeling so annoyed!

Yes!!!!!! 100%. I’m nearly 10 weeks and since week 5 I have been like this. I’m so snappy at work and have been brought up on it luckily they have a good sense of humour and I’ve blamed it on ‘ladies things’. But it’s like a rage I can go from being fine to livid within seconds and I’m normally placid 😂 hormonal xx

I'm 7 weeks and I'm just massively pissed off with everything right now. So yeah, I totally get you!

Wait till you get to the third trimester 😂 then you can add crying at absolutely nothing to the unexplained bursts of anger and finding things hilarious for no reason lol

Glad to hear it’s not just me! I’m quite good at keeping my frustrations under the surface so I’m getting away with it! My husband was working abroad just before we found out and I do remember one phone conversation when I pretty much said to him thank goodness you’re away as I’ve been so irritable with everything and if you were here you’d have taken the brunt of it!

Yep! 5 weeks tomorrow and everything is irritating me! Hope it doesn't last too long!

PatrickMerricksGoshawk · 28/02/2019 21:04

I properly shouted at a man whose car was parked across my drive this evening (blocking me from getting in for my tea!) Blush I might have done that pre-pregnancy, but I’m blaming the hormones anyway Grin

I was awful in the first trimester , id get hysterical crying at my partner for the stupidest of things , it eases off in the second bit , I’m just hitting my third tri an can feel myself getting ratty again 😂

I think I'm lucky to still have a job after today. My patience has just gone. Thank God it's the weekend.

The guy to my left at work breathes through his blocked nose all the time. So annoying.

The guy behind me gulps his coffee and I can actually hear it, and he does it all day.

I am about to lose my absolute sh*t soon. I am 14 weeks and soooo picky at everything. Down to my husband rolling over and fidgeting in bed in the mornings like an hour before he gets up.

Irritable is not the word. I literally want to scream at the world. .
Oh!! And people who stand so close to you in a queue. I told one bloke to take a step back in the bank the other day.

You are not alone my friend. X

Exhaustedmummy1811 · 01/03/2019 20:29

@snowflake9 I completely sympathise with you! My eldest dc eats dry cereal and loves to eat standing next to me, he get relegated to another room as it frustrates me soooooo much lol when I was pregnant with my third I remember actually saying to my ex that his breathing was irritating me haha I'm 35 weeks now and a lot of things make me tetchy, I don't think I'm much fun to be around right now
