Hey
Just wanted to ask when people's symptoms stared dying down? I had nausea, some morning sickness but not a huge amount, food that I couldn't even look at let alone eat along with backache and sore boobs. Still have the sore boobs and fatigue has taken over my life (8pm bedtime!) But other than that everything seems to have died off. Is this normal? Not that I miss the sickness but just worrying!

The only other pregnancy I've had ended in MMC so I'm really on edge!

Xxxx

It was about week 10 that all my bad symptoms went. I went from being really fatigued and really sick feeling to having unlimited energy and feeling hyper!

Kej13 · 28/02/2019 07:08

Oh I'm 10+4 and still no energy haha. But good to know on the other symptoms. I've felt so sick that my eating has been all over the place and I feel like I've eaten my weight in carbs because it's the only thing that doesn't make me want to be sick! Now I can start eating properly again! Just fingers crossed 12 week scan is all good xxx

I’m a bit concerned about the same thing. I’m 11+1 today and have been on medication for severe sickness since about 6 weeks. I’m finding I’m taking less of the tablets and not feeling anywhere near as sick and I’m actually able to eat without many issues. The fatigue is still horrendous though! I’ve got a 2yo and a 3yo and I’m falling asleep on the sofa most nights once I’ve put them to bed!

My understanding is that the placenta starts to take over in weeks 9/10 and so it's very common for symptoms to calm down around that point as the hormones level off.

In both my pregnancies I've started to feel better in about week 10, the first resulted in now 2 years old DS and I'm 30 weeks with the second.

Best of luck.

Week 11-12 I started to feel slightly more normal

MyBreadIsEggy · 28/02/2019 11:50

I guess this is just strange for me.
I had HG with DC1 and was vomiting multiple times a day right up until she was born. With DC2 I had some pretty gnarly sickness which lasted until around 15/16 weeks, so for it to be tapering off this early has got me worrying - hopefully over nothing!

Kej13 · 01/03/2019 06:45

Fingers crossed then 🤞not got my 12 week scan until baby is 13 weeks, MW wanted to wait the extra week because I have a retroverted uterus so she though the extra week might help see things without the vaginal scan but it means an extra week to wait 😑

Hi OP, I'm currently at 11+2 and found the same last week. Why don't you come join us on the antenatal clubs September thread? There's a few of us that have said exactly the same as we reached 10-11 weeks- bump (which is mainly bloating) feeling a little smaller, nausea dying down, boobs not as sore, just generally not 'feeling' pregnant anymore. I'm taking reassurance from the fact that a few of us are going through it, and some people have had their scans since and everything's OK. Mine's due next Friday, so counting down the days!

Feeling a bit yuck again today (11+2) which is shit in itself when my two toddlers are going turbo, but a good sign symptoms wise Smile

@MyBreadIsEggy
Glad you are feeling a bit better - we've missed your updates on the Sept 19 thread! Hopefully you won't have it much longer.

MyBreadIsEggy · 01/03/2019 13:51

Megan I lost the thread and couldn’t find it again! That’s why I’ve been absent from the thread Sad

If you lose it again look under Antenatal clubs :)

I had the exact same, OP. Tbh I was concerned because all symptoms went away and I didn't feel the same as I did before, I had much more energy, returned to the old foods I had previously been turned off by etc.

I was really worried. But had my 12 week scan and all was fine. When the little baby popped up on the screen I actually said "phew, its still in there!" as if it had somehow disappeared, thats how I felt!

Now 13 weeks and the tiredness is back, but that might just be where I've been a bit over-zealous, going back to the gym because I was feeling so much more energetic.

Try not to worry, apparently its this stage (10-14 weeks) that the placenta takes over nourishing the baby so you will feel a lot better.

Thank you, I just commented on the sept 19 club so thanks for inviting me! 😊

Hopefully everything will be okay I just manage to worry about everything anyway so why would pregnancy be any different 😂😂
