Hi guys I’m 30 weeks, last week or so I’ve been getting horrible leg cramps calf only at night, I’ll wake up in so much pain it’s awful. I dread going to sleep now as I know I’ll wake up in agony it happens every night Shock my lower legs are swelling up too. Is this normal? Family history of DVT worries me
Thank you

You need to speak to your midwife or GP at the very least, not be reassured. Do it asap!

I get this & I forget the explanation my MW gave me, but: hydration helps, as does quinine, weirdly. Keep a bottle of tonic next to the bed (sadly no gin).

The first time it happened I woke up crying in agony & starting shrieking "Help, help, DP, help, ow ow ow, I'm cramping, DP!!" Poor man thought I was in premature labour 😂

I think you need to see the GP as well especially with a family history of DVT. I was in a similar boat in my pregnancy and was only blood thinning injections from 28 weeks. I would also highly recommend magnesium spray to rub into you legs to help with the cramps. I was sceptical but it worked wonders for me.
