Anyone done a Tesco Freedom test and got a false positive ? Did one and got an extremely faint line . I’m not TTC . Have been using pull out method no issues for 10 years now . Did a test as my period at begging of this month was 2 weeks early . If I was pregnant it would make me 10dpo . Thanks . Also how do I attach pics ? I've clicked the attach button / selected my images and then it says new members can't add images ?? Why??

In my view you can't get a false positive as the chemical in test only reacts with the hcg present in your urine if pregnant.
However, some people think they may have a positive because they see a very faint line, which in actual fact is an evaporation line.
To rule this out, do another test. See if the line appears within the time frame. If you can see a line within the time frame, then I'd say your pregnant.

From what I gather it's very possible to get pregnant from withdrawal method as men have pre ejaculation.

I’ve always been told you can’t get a false positive. False negatives for sure, but not a positive due to it reacting to the HCG levels in your urine stream. How strong is the line? Probably wise to do another test, first thing in the morning is usually a good time to do it.

Bigonesmallone3 · 27/02/2019 06:06

But the truth is false positives do happen!

Tobebythesea · 27/02/2019 06:37

I’d recommend trying another test. It’s unlikely to be a false positive.

If it is the same brand as the Freedom Asda tests (is the logo the same) then they are notorious for giving false positives

Myself and another poster just last month but had clear faint lines that ended up being bfn

Very disheartening if you are ttc!

I agree with other posters to get another brand to be sure

Link below, just read the reviews

"I’m not TTC . Have been using pull out method" - these two statements do not correspond OP!

Read around, false positives on pregnancy tests are very very very rare, you won't be the one in a million with a broken test. Check again with a different test first thing in the morning if possible. Get to a GP.

SpottedTiger · 27/02/2019 06:53

I also thought you couldn't get a false positive only a very early miscarriage/chemical pregnancy as the hgc needs to be present. Pull out isn't a reliable method of contraception you've been lucky so far.

Thanks all ! I've looked at the Asda reviews of the test and it's shocking how many poor people have had false positives !! I can't believe they even still sell these ... I'll do another one today . 😄 anyone know why I can't add an image yet ?? Thanks

@Sinead1988 New users aren't allowed to attach pics. I'm not sure how long you have to be registered for but hopefully someone else will come along and let you know.

beckymad · 27/02/2019 08:36

Op do you want to private message me your picture and I can upload it on the thread for you?

Sinead1988 · 27/02/2019 08:56

@beckymad how do I message you sorry I have no idea how to use this app.

OP posts:
beckymad · 27/02/2019 09:00

Ah you can't message from the app! You can do it from the website x

Livid21 · 27/02/2019 09:43

I don’t believe in false positives. And I don’t believe in the pullout method. If you don’t want to be pregnant you need to use proper contraception.

Bigonesmallone3 · 27/02/2019 11:50

They look negative to me

Rememberallball · 27/02/2019 13:15

There’s no colour to the ‘line’ I can see on the picture so I would go with it being evap line or indentation. I’d use a FRER or Superdrug test.

Sinead1988 · 27/02/2019 14:08

Thanks ! Yes I think indentation too now . Just did another one and it neg x
