I've had really loose stools since Sunday so 3 days now, a lot of them, like I'm having stomach cramps and needing to go to the toilet more than hourly.

I'm not unwell in any way. I'm not feeling sick. I haven't eaten anything strange.

I'm 36 weeks with baby no 3. Had some blood and mucous last week. Lots of irregular tightening I've had to breathe through that's stopped and started. Lots of "fanny stab" cervical pains.

Help!

Hi hope you're feeling ok 🙂
I've read that before labour your body "clears itself" (loose stools, more frequent bowel movements etc) but can't say if this is true or not :-( xx

It could be, but who knows. I had very irregular tightenings/contractions for about 12 hours and assumed it wasn't labour as I'd always been told they are regular and get closer together.
In the end my waters went and I had a very fast labour (less than 2 hours)

Sounds like early stages (that as you know can last for a while!) but congratulations baby should be here soon it sounds like! Give your midwife a call if your unsure, (but live baby thread would be lovely!!!)
