I have this because of really bad swelling. I think for me it’s the skin stretching and also blood rushing in and out.

Things that have helped a bit for me are Norwegian formula hand cream to stop them cracking and sticking them in a bucket of ice cold water for a bit. Only temporary relief though.

OP, you need to speak to the midwives. It could be obstetric chokestasis which means your liver function has gone a bit wonky. Itchy feet is a classic sign. I had it. They do blood tests and give you tablets. My baby was fine and so was I and it might not be that but you should go and get yourself checked out ASAP.

Cholestasis sorry

IfOnlyOurEyesSawSouls · 26/02/2019 02:58

Please telephone your midwife asap ... please do not panic , your symptoms could indicate obstetric liver disorder which would need monitoring x

Ditto what others have said about obstetric cholestasis - they’ll ask you if your poo is light coloured and your piss is dark coloured so make sure to check!

Otherwise I have been having itchy feet especially at night - my go to is washing them with this stuff from Lush called ‘oaty creamy dreamy’ then rinsing with cold water and slathering them in bio oil (be v careful walking after putting moisturiser on your feet!!)
My MW said keeping them cool will help, and yeah it’s the skin stretching.

Again as the other posters, please ring your midwives! I had itchy arms/hands, rang the midwives who sent me for a blood test and then got diagnosed with OC.. getting induced tomorrow at 37+5!😬
