Co-worker hungover

Just a bit of a moan this morning. 24 weeks pregnant and working in an open plan office where people eat lunch at their desk any time of day. I've suffered with nausea up until last week. Got to work and my co-worker who sits in the desk next to me arrived in late, smelling of vodka and I would nearly go as far as to say it doesn't seem the alcohol effects have wore off yet. The smell is so bad, it'd be hard to tolerate on a good stomach, never mind a sensitive pregnant stomach. Nearly want to ask if I can go and work from home for the rest of the day Hmm

Apparently when pregnant your sense of smell is enhanced.
I'm a social worker and sometimes had to visit very unclean places.
I coped by wearing an essential oils diffuser around my neck (it's a necklace with a spot for a felt pad which you put oils onto).
Or keep some essential oil bottles at your desk/on your person and take a sniff as required.

Just be careful, some essential oils are not safe during pregnancy or are known to trigger labor.

I’ve had to deal with this several times in work. On one occasion the person smelled so bad I had to leave a meeting as I thought I was going to be sick. It’s awful!

I work in care and out vapour rub under my nose so I don't have to smell anything unpleasant works like a treat. But I would be mentioning to your manager about the co worker stinking of vodka because that's just not acceptable.

Oh god THIS.

I had to visit another office last week and there was a guy there so whiffy you couldn’t have lit a match near him, I’m quite robust soul but that gave me the major heave.
