Double pram problems

I have a 1yo dd and am due dc2 in July.
I'm looking for a tandem pram (one over the other, not a side by side) where I can have the baby facing me in a carrycot and my dd facing out in a chair.
It seems that no such pram exists though or maybe I'm not looking hard enough?

I bought an iCandy Peach Blossom 3 for this. It can do maxi cosi car seats (with adaptors) or a pram on bottom I think. The top seat is just a regular pushchair facing out.

Notso · 25/02/2019 10:27

I've seen them where the carrycot faces away from you but not towards you.
I tried loads of tandems for my younger two but realised I just don't like them.
I wish I'd got a side by side from the beginning.

The Silver Cross Wave does exactly this, (my daughter has one). You do have to purchase an extra seat to have this configuration (extra £250). It does come with carrycot and seat, but this seat will only go at the front, and the carrycot behind).

Thank you! I'll check out the pram suggestions!

@Notso I've looked at side by side ones but they're all too wide. I wouldn't be able to get them on the bus or through our doors. There was one called mountain buggy (or something like that). It's really slim but has such negative reviews about the wheels.

Just to add, the Silvercross Wave is quite a heavy pram, so don't know if that would put you off.

I think the iCandy Orange does this?

Have you looked at the Out n About Nipper double? Side by side but narrow and it does have air filled tyres but you can have them filled with something so they don't puncture so might be worth a look.

The out and about nipper 360 double fits through standard doorways. I've got quite narrow doorways at home and it's fine. The only door I can't get it through I can barely get my single through either.

I've never tried to get it on a bus but it fits in really small lifts....

Have a look at this one;

I think the uppababy vista does this?

Mrsmummy90 · 25/02/2019 17:27

Thank you so much everyone. I'm going to look at all of the prams that have been suggested and read reviews on all of them 😊

Try looking at the Baby Jogger City Select Lux.

Lots of combinations and don't see why your dad couldn't face forwards Smile.

Congratulations also 🎉

iCandy Orange!

I have the Mountain Buggy Duet. Fits through every door and no problems with my wheels. Some people have recurrent punctures so you can buy solid wheels instead of the air filled ones it comes with. I love it, best buggy I’ve had.

I just came on to say this too. Have had to fix one puncture and that's it. It's second hand so has gone through 4 children in 3 years and it's great.

I got my Mountain buggy wheels slimed and they’ve been fine since
