Calculating weight gain

Morning ladies,

Just trying to work out my weight gain during this pregnancy and wondered:

If you lost weight initially due to morning sickness etc, do you count weight gain from the start of your pregnancy, or pre-pregnancy weight?

I didn't realise I was pregnant initially but know I lost quite a bit of weight initially so unsure where to count it from.

Not a big deal, just curious really.

I count my weight gain from the end of my ivf stims. I gained about 5 lbs in the two weeks leading to egg collection - but count that as pre-pregnancy.

I gained and lost weight on alternate weeks of the first trimester, but count my starts by weight as from when I was 'two weeks' pregnant s

I’ve been going from the weight I was at booking in with the midwife, so about 8 weeks. I got weighed by the midwife at my 36 week appointment and she also calculated my weight gain from my BMI at booking...
