First pregnancy ended in mmc and erpc, discovered at 12 week scan. Baby stopped devolving around 8wk1day. I'm pregnant again and will be 8 weeks tomorrow, feeling very anxious and worried the same thing will happen again Sad

Anyone been in a similar situation? When did the anxiety pass? Please send positive vibes Smile

Hi, I've recently found out I'm pregnant after a missed miscarriage last June, I'm about 4 weeks so early days I too am feeling very anxious too, had a miscarriage before my little boy as well. My god mother said be positive and think positive as how your brain works affects your body so that is what I'm doing my upmost to be, each day at a time and really trying to be calm. Have a reassurance scan two weeks on wed. X

Yes me! Okay so I’m in a really similar position as you. My due date was 18th feb just gone so Monday. I had a mmc in July last year and also discovered at my 12 week scan baby stopped at 8 weeks. So now I’m 9 weeks pg again and so this week has been one of an emotional rollercoaster but being pregnant again has massively helped. I had an early reassurance scan yesterday and seen a little heartbeat and a little wriggling hand. I’m with you and feel every bit of anxiety and emotion hunny ❤️ It’s so so hard but you have to keep going, and remember that you will get your rainbow with every day that passes your getting closer and closer! Have you had or booking an early scan? Xxx

Hi there,

I have had 3 missed miscarriages (8 weeks, 6 weeks and 9 weeks) and an ectopic pregnancy too. Like you I was extremely nervous in my last (5th) pregnancy and tested weekly, got paranoid that I was going to lose the baby and stressed myself out a lot. We were told at 6 weeks there was no heartbeat and we'd lose that baby too.

Fast forward 38 weeks later, and right now I'm sat next to my 7 week old son pumping as he sleeps. We didn't lose him, he's that same 5th pregnancy and he's perfectly healthy. There is hope, and it's tremendous. I know how the worrying feels, but it cannot change anything.

Personally I did the clear blue digital tests as as your HCG levels continue to rise so do the week numbers on those tests, so I tested to make sure they were going up. That was very expensive though.

The best of luck to you and I hope you can worry a little less! Thanks

Sending you all good thoughts. I was an emotional wreck when I was at this stage but just remember it’s not the same pregnancy and it won’t end in the same way. I booked a scan for just after that time which helped, look into it if you can afford it. My rainbow baby is 5 now. Pregnancy is hard after MC but each day you get closer. Sending positive thoughts to you all, you can get through this.

Thanks for all the lovely replies and positivity. It's nice to hear from people who have been in the same situation and had a positive outcome. Thanks everyone!

I'll have to try and control the anxiety and not let it control me xx

Hi I am exactly the same, I had 2 miscarriages last year, one being a missed miscarriage where we found out at our 12 week scan that the baby had stopped growing at 7 weeks. I am now 7+1 again and terrified of the same thing happening. I had a scan last week due to some spotting and we saw the heartbeat, but over the last few days I feel like my symptoms have gone a little which is exactly what happened last time. Got another scan next week when I will be 8 weeks so just need to stay hopeful x

missrose0110 · 25/02/2019 07:37

@Lisalou88 I feel the exact same, worrying if my symptoms are still there. My local EPU said they will not scan me and only scan ladies who've had 3+ miscarriages Sad they said the only way they'd scan me is if a doctor referred me. May go the doctors tomorrow when I'm off work and tell how anxious I am and hopefully they would scan me. Hoping all goes well for you x
