Am I miscarrying the twins?

Hello everyone.

I started bleeding two days ago, it was very little and only when I wiped after weeing, and yesterday there was even less but then today the bleeding has increased and is more visible. The blood is very dark brown.

I miscarried last year and it started off the same way, except that time I had had horrible pains the day before. For hours. And this time any cramps I've had has been a lot milder.

Tomorrow I will be 9 weeks pregnant with fraternal twins and luckily we have a scan that day to put our minds at ease. But until then..
Does anyone have any experience with miscarrying twins? Losing one or both? Or just bleeding during a twin pregnancy and everything turning out fine?

TIA

Awwww OP you must be so worried. I can't offer any comfort really. I had one of my twins over 20 years ago but I didn't know it was twins till after i started to bleed. Mine was a rupture of bright red gushing. I wish you well. Keep us posted. Flowers

That was meant to be flowers not a star. Also forgot to mention. I bled all the way through and had cramps but my girl was fine.

No experience of miscarrying but fair bit of experience of bleeding in pregnancy and going on to have healthy children. I really hope this is the case for you.

Thank you guys Flowers

Just hoping they are OK

I had bleeding and clots during weeks 7-9 (currently 21 weeks with identical twins). The sonographer said it's quite normal and could even show me the little pocket of blood that wasn't anything to do with the twins on the scan.

I hope all goes well with your scan Flowers

I bled a little at the start and now I am 21 weeks with a very healthy little boy. I hope your scan goes well tomorrowFlowers

I miscarried twins at 19 weeks, 6 weeks ago today and the first sign anything was wrong was pain which quickly turned to bleeding, but my blood was fresh, not brown.

On the flip-side of the coin, a friend who is carrying twins started bleeding a week or two ago (at 21/22 weeks) and her babies turned out to be absolutely fine. Blood doesn't always mean something is desperately wrong.

Go with your instinct. Is it telling you something is wrong? If you didn't have a scan booked tomorrow I'd be urging you to go to hospsital immediately but as you have a scan tomorrow you may wish to sit it out and wait. Can you cope overnight? I really hope you and your babies are okay. Please, any more blood or fresh blood, go to hospital straight away. Take care and let us know what you decide to do and how your scan goes tomorrow.

Thanks everyone. ❤️

So we had the scan today and they were both alive and well! Size appropriate and each of their hearts blinking away Blush

I suppose a miscarriage really changes how you think and will always be there in other pregnancies.

I had brown bleeding at 10 weeks too and all was well - she's currently sitting in what looks like an explosion of toy fruit Grin
