Did I dream it or have I seen advertised somewhere a clever little piece of elastic that you use with your ordinary trousers to make the waist slightly bigger so that you can wear them a bit longer?

Yes I had one when I was pg. You can get them here

lou33 · 07/09/2004 16:43

I used to use a hair elastic. Threaded it though the button hole, then through itself iyswim, then it could loop over the button.

thank you. CountessDrac, have you actually used that one from Bump to 3/Grobag?

I gave mine to a fellow Mnetter last year.

It was the most uncomfortable thing ever created!!!

emmatmg · 07/09/2004 17:13

That's not why I gave it to to though

DS3 had been born so I didn't need it anymore.

mckenzie · 07/09/2004 19:06

thanks Emmatmg - It doesn't look very comfortable in the picture. I think I just want something whereby I can leave the button whole undo without the waistband on the trousers sticking out (coes that make sense?)
I guess I could make it myself with a piece of elastic and a button at one end a button whole at the other end. Or better still, I could ask my mum to make ti for me as i'm useless with a needle and cotton!

I have a pack of them - I bought them and then never used them. It's a bit of elastic but with different coloured materials so you don't show your tummy.
Let me know if you want me to post them to you - I would just be chucking them out otherwise

mckenzie · 07/09/2004 20:47

thats really kind of you TracyK.
If you're sure that you'll only chuck them out anyway.

miranda2 · 17/09/2004 20:14

TracyK · 19/09/2004 16:07

mckenzie · 19/09/2004 17:37

hi tracyk, I did e mail you back when you first gave me your address and by coincidence i was thinking on friday that i should look for this message as I hadn't recevied anything and pehaps you were trying to get in touch with me as you'd not found them after all. I would still like them please if that's okay? I'll e mail you again. Are there 2 in the pack?

mckenzie · 25/09/2004 12:14

Tracyk, the belt things have just arrived. Thanks very much again.

We currently have a Salvation Army envelope here waiting for collection so I shall add some extra to it as you wont let me pay anything for postage or the belts. IS that okay with you?
