Has anyone been through an eptopic pregnancy and have any advice on what symptoms you have?

I'm around 8 weeks but when I go to the toilet I have sharp pains low down. And my lower back pain is sore.

I've googled (I know you shouldn't) and these have come up at symptoms and I'm now freaking out.

If you at all suspect you have an ectopic pregnancy please call / go to hospital now. I had similar symptoms to you at 7+4 & had emergency surgery as it had started to rupture in the tube. I'm not trying to scare you but it can be life threatening & should be taken very seriously. I hope it's not for you OP!

You could call your maternity hospial and ask the fetal assessment unit for advice.
They would be well placed to advise you.

Fingers crossed all will be well for you.

Call though. Don't leave it over the weekend.

They don't sound typical ectopic symptoms - ectopic tends to be one sided pain near the hip, rectal pain or shoulder tip pain.
If you had it you'd know - it's incredibly painful

As long as you are not experiencing any bleeding then it's probably just your body stretching and growing to accommodate your pregnancy

I've had 2 ectopics. Long time ago now. Check out the Ectopic Pregnancy Trust. I had no pain but had brown bleeding/discharge.

My friend recently had some pain and was concerned about ectopic so went to to doctors. It turned out she had a cyst burst which was harmless and unrelated to the pregnancy. Its good to get it checked. They were going to pay for a private early scan but the hospital did a scan to check the baby was ok so they saved £80!
