I just found out I'm pregnant! I've been trying to lose some weight (nothing more than a stone). I also restarted running and yoga on and off. Would it be ok to continue with my diet? I have a very sedentary job and drive to it. I doubt I naturally burn more than 1400 calories a day. Maybe 1700 with the added exercise. I'm not counting calories but I'm guessing I'm eating about those 1400. Would it be ok to continue with my diet for now?

I believe Slimming World is approved for use during pregnancy. Not sure about other types of diets though.

You would need to ask your midwife. An adapted version of slimming world is approved but you would need to get your midwife to sign off on it.

Too soon to ask anyone, but I'll ask when I meet her

That sounds quite a strict diet, you can definitely ask your GP for advice!
If you get nausea you may find that everything goes out of the window in a few weeks, I can currently only function on a steady stream of refined carbohydrates during waking hours...

With my first I actually lost weight! But every pregnancy is different!
