Gentle caesarean?

I've only just heard of gentle caesareans and am 34 weeks pregnant. Has anyone had this type of caesarean and was the hospital accommodating to all requests? I had a long traumatic first labour ending in emergency caesarean the first time around so want to try to have a better experience this time round as I have to have a planned caesarean.

Try reading the positive birth book. Have you been referred to natal mental health team as sometimes they can help too.

No I haven't. Will look up that book, thank you

Definitely ask for more information at your next appointment - a planned section will be much less traumatic than the "worst of both worlds" that your first delivery sounds like. My sister had two like that (well, the second was a shorter trial of labour before section, but the surgery turned out to be difficult too) and then a planned section which went very smoothly and easily.

I hope you get reassured by discussing this.

I had two emergency sections, one under spinal the other under general. But they were a result of failed inductions so I didn't really experience labour for long, it was clear much more quickly that things weren't working out.
