I went for a scan today at 8+3 and all was ok but there is a small bleed next to the pregnancy sac. Having had 5 miscarriages previously I am a little anxious. Has anyone experienced this previously?

hello there i also have this so understand your worries having had a missed miscarriage last sept i went for an early scan at 8 weeks and they saw baby was fine but there was a 2.4 bleed as well the lady told me i may start to bleed which so far i haven't and im now 11wks2d she also said that the body can just absorb them i told my midwife at the booking appointment and she didn't seem to concerned to be honest even though im obviously worried she said its very common and usually disappears by the 20 week scan she told me not to stress or lift heavy things and take it easy i have a scan next wednesday so im praying its gotten smaller. i hope everything's ok for you hun which im sure it will be as my midwife said it really is very common and more often than not it gets reabsorbed or bleeds out xxx

Hi lovely. I had a scan on Tuesday, i was exactly 7 weeks due to having a couple of bleeds last week. There is a very small bleed next to the sac, 1.4cm x 0.44mm. They told me it's nothing to worry about and happens with a lot of women and just to rest and eat good food, and not push myself too hard, I'm sure you and your baby will be absolutely fine x

I had this, lots of bleeds from week 7-11 (bright red too) scan discovered bleed near baby, 32mm. By my scan at week 12 it had completely resolved. Although on my 20 week scan bits of debris from the bleed were seen floating around in the sac assumed to be blood and particles from the bleed.

I'm now 27 weeks and baby is completely fine!
