Hi all I'm a little worried...I just went to get my nails done but ended up waiting around and was in there for 2 hours Shock and the fumes smelt bad - just wondered if this is dangerous for my growing baby? I'm 9 weeks pregnant now after having a miscarriage last September so I'm overly anxious thanks x

Definitely not my lovely. Just think, you get lots of ladies that are actually doing the nails all day when pregnant so far more exposed. Please don’t worry.

In the nicest possible way; don't be ridiculous. Nothing at all to be concerned about.

Hi OP
I’m a nail technician. Full time and was doing nails all day everyday throughout my pregnancy.
My little boy is 6 weeks old and absolutely perfect.
There is a nasty chemical in the acrylic which when filed, the dust if inhaled can be dangerous but only in large quantities. So if for example you were the one doing the nails all day like me then you would want to wear a mask. I don’t do acrylic, only gel so didn’t have this problem.
But 2 hours will not do your baby any harm whatsoever. X x
