5 weeks and 1 day pregnant with very faint positive tests

Hi! This is the first time I’ve been pregnant, I’ve got PCOS so never thought it would happen naturally and I feel really anxious about the whole thing. So I did a home pregnancy test 2 days after my period was due with dilute afternoon urine (15th Feb) and it came back a faint but definitely there positive (morrisons brand). I then backed this up with a clear blue digital test which said pregnant 1-2 (yeyy). On the 19th Feb I took another morrisons test with concentrated first morning urine expecting it to be much darker but it was pretty much the same strength line as my previous test. This morning (21st) I took another morrisons test with first morning urine and it was still positive but very very faint. After hours of frantic googling and some people saying they had better positives with more dilute urine I diluted it and tried again and the line was so faint it was barely there. My breasts have been tender but a little less so now and my sense of smell was impressively good last week but it’s returned to normal now. I’ve had no cramps since implantation and no vaginal bleeding. Does all this mean my hormone levels are lower now and should I prepare for miscarriage? I guess I just feel so alone with all this. Any insight anyone could give would be great, thanks Smile

I'm sorry to say this but yes, I would probably prepare yourself for a sad outcome. I had a similar experience, tested with a frer which had a reasonably good faint line, tested a couple of days later with a normal test and could barely see a line so panicked and bought another frer where the line was there but still faint. My boobs had stopped hurting and I started bleeding 3 days later- by the end of the week tests were negative. I hope you have a better outcome than me x

Hi @Fayh - it might be a chemical pregnancy, I've had similar. Probably best to have a scan in a few days time to see if they can see anything. I'm hoping for the best for you 💐

I agree with the others, very sorry. If your period doesn’t start in the next week I would request a scan and/or bloods.

Hello! I did another clear blue digital and it still said 1-2 weeks so was preparing for the worst. I then started bleeding heavily last night. Thank you for your replies! X
