Beige discharge- 7 weeks

Hi, I’m highly anxious after a mmc last November.. I’ve had a small amount of beige/very light brown discharge today (EWC consistency) and a little on Sunday. I was initially able to reassure myself that it wasn’t dark brown, didn’t look bloody etc.. but now I’m starting to freak out that I’m going to miscarry again.

Have others had this in early pregnancy? Is it normal? Was your pregnancy okay?

I’m due for a scan on Tuesday at 8 weeks but if anyone can provide reassurance or just words of wisdom I’d appreciate it. Thank you

Hi @SRK16. I'm sorry you're experiencing this. I know it must be scary, especially after a previous loss.
If you're not bleeding fresh red blood accompanied by pain, I would suggest that things are probably ok, but phone your community midwife if you're concerned. They will probably tell you just to monitor the situation, but it might help you to feel better to talk to a medical professional.

Hi I’m nearly 7 weeks and for the last week I have also been having brown discharge, it’s ranged from light brown to dark brown but also more a mucusy consistency. I was also worried after having 2 losses last year but managed to get an early scan yesterday and all looks fine and we saw the heartbeat and baby measured spot on. They couldn’t find a cause for the discharge, said it can sometimes just be late implantation or the cervix is a bit irritated xx

I had beige discharge and also a bit of spotting at 7 weeks. I was terrified so we went for a private scan at 8 weeks. Heartbeat was there and everything looked fine, the discharge and spotting was because my cervix was a little irritated. I’m now 36 weeks :) hope all goes ok OP x

Thanks all, this is reassuring. I think I’m more stressed as I’m due for a weekend away and worrying something will happen away from home. Have been having some lower back pain but I think it’s muscular and I’m hyper focusing on it. Fingers crossed- I wish it was Tuesday so I could get my scan!

I feel your worry like many others 💖 I had a mmc last year too. I’m 9 weeks today but had little spotting during week 6 that’s now stopped. I have an early private scan booked for Saturday and bricking up. I’m sure all is okay, good luck !💐 xx

@SRK16 I had dark brown discharge / bleeding at 7 weeks and 9 weeks. Worried all the way to my 12 week scan ( I didn’t go for early scan as it is my first pregnancy and nothing they could have done anyway) am now 17 weeks and all is well! Midwife said it’s usually from implantation, or cervix being irritated after DTD.💖

I also had cramps like having a period early on, throughout first trimester basically off and on, lower back and lower tummy and even though it freaked me out (thinking I was going to miscarry/have a period) it’s the uterus stretching hope all goes well at your scan xxx
