Hi, I had my baby in June last year and have been on the dep since. Periods stopped after my second injection in September. On December 24th I had my third injection. On January 22nd I had a random period. Two weeks later had lots of cervical mucus so took an OPK which was positive. Today, two weeks later I have gotten a faint positive on a pregnancy test. I have been tired & nauseous for a few days. Metallic taste in my mouth and no appetite. My doctor told me 1 in 200 women get pregnant when on the depo. Am I that 1 or am I imagining things? Has anyone ever experienced this? Please help me I don’t know what to think or do.

I don't think you're imagining things, especially if your doctor has consulted you about it. Maybe take a couple more tests to see if you get a darker positive but usually a positive is a positive, my friend got pregnant on the Depop injection last year, and I've heard of quite a few people on the mums group in on Facebook getting pregnant on the depo so it's not uncommon x

This all sounds very suspect. I'd possibly do another test on the morning 😀

I’m going to test again tomorrow morning as the test today was in the afternoon and it was faint but definitely there. I just can’t understand how this has happened unless my last injection was faulty or something I’m so confused. We clearly weren’t trying and I don’t know how I’m supposed to feel. I’m worried that it wouldn’t be viable anyway because of the effects of the injection

It just happens sometimes, give yourself some time to think, the pregnancy would most likely be viable and wouldn't be affected by the depo X

This mornings test was negative so I’m not sure what’s going on

I would definitely go back and see your doctor and confirm a negative test with them x

Hi just wanted to update....
so, I’m not pregnant. The doctor said she would guess at them being evaporation lines. I dipped them in water and lo & behold the lines disappeared. She couldn’t explain why I ovulated out of the blue but said depo is notorious for false pregnancy symptoms. I’m 100% not having my next injection I can’t take the stress lol thanks for your advice
