Down syndrome screening/Amnio

So I'm pregnant with my 3rd child at my 13 week scan they found extra fluid behind the neck, I did a blood test screening and it's come back at a 1 in 2500 chance. They booked me in for a scan at 16 weeks which I went to the other day and found more problems, the baby has bright bowel and also a thigh bone is growing a week behind they said this also is a sign of Down syndrome but could also be minor they offered me the amnio test which I accepted cause I'm not sure I can go the full length without knowing, I'm booked in for Friday but now it's getting closer I'm starting to worry more about having it. Would anyone be able to tell me there experiences with this and also if they had any of the signs above? Thanks in advance

I had 1:3 chance that there could be Down syndrome. For some reason, I can't remember, I didn't get 12 week scan results so they did bloods at 16 weeks.

Amnio itself wasn't bad. I was laying down and watching away when dr took the sample. Baby had normal chromosomes.

Sorry to hear this, you must feel so anxious. You could pay privately for the NIPT test also known as the Harmony test which had no risks no the baby, it’s just a simple blood test but had high levels of accuracy. It’s looks at DNA fragments in the blood. It costs around £300-400.
