Spotting

Posting here just to get it off my chest I suppose. I'm 8+5 and until yesterday, had no issues at all. Just all the usual symptoms with sickness that has been worse this week - a good sign hopefully 🤞
Had an early scan at the weekend which was fine, measuring 7 weeks at the scan but sonographer wasn't concerned by that.
Noticed some very light spotting yesterday afternoon, had stopped by the evening but just noticed it has started again.
It's very, very light. Only noticeable when I wipe and if anything I feel a little bit sore and dry inside (sorry, TMI!)
I probably shouldn't worry but I just wanted to post this to get it off my chest I suppose. Not many people know I'm pregnant yet so dont really have anyone I can share with offline.

I'm sorry this is happening. Lots of people have a bit of spotting and it's absolutely fine. Have you contacted the early pregnancy unit?

angelix · 20/02/2019 13:53

I haven't yet, thankfully I dont think it's bad enough for that but will keep it in mind and maybe look for a contact number just incase. I dont have any details yet as I've not had my booking appt with the midwife yet, I see them next Tuesday though 🤞

Yours sounds exactly like mine, only on tissue never in underwear. My was every other day roughly during week 6 and came with no cramps just a slight achey feeling. I did ring up midwife center who assured me unless it became heavy, bright red and was accompanied with pain then just sit tight as it’s common and is just where things are changing/moving/implanting. Just keep an eye on it and try not to stress. I felt like it was the end of the world when it happened to me as I had a mmc 5 months ago 😫 I’m 9 weeks Thursday sounds like we are pretty much same date etc 😘 good luck xxx

If it helps I had some spotting between 7-8 weeks when I wiped, as well as some mild cramping. I was terrified. I’m now 36 weeks :) As a PP said there’s a lot changing/moving etc down there, try not to worry unless the bleeding worsens or you get cramps that become more severe. X

Sorry to hear you had a mmc mac congratulations on your pregnancy, it's nice to find someone at roughly the same stage! Reassuring to hear I'm not the only one experiencing this too. It feels like I've spent every day since I found out I was pregnant terrified that I might bleed so the slightest little trace of blood just gave me a real fright. Will keep an eye on things 🤞

I had this at the same time I'm now 30+2 and everything appears to be fine! Hoping the same for you! Congratulations!

Was your scan at a private clinic? Ring your GP tomorrow or Early pregnancy unit, they will want to give you a scan if you have been bleeding xx

jackio2205 · 20/02/2019 22:25

Totally normal, dont worry about it. I've previously had a miscarriage and it was way more than spotting, also comes with other signs so I'm sure you'd know about it! You'll be fine I'm sure hun x
