38 + 2, LGA + reduced movements. 2nd child, 1st induction.

Had 1st gel at 9pm, more in the morning, did little until just before lunch, the actual labour kicked in enough to hurt like he'll but wasn't dilated enough for waters to be broken. Had pethidine, could sleep between frequent contractions, eventually rechecked, 7+ cm, mad rush upstairs to delivery, lots of pushing, baby shifted out of range of monitor so quick ventouse with epesiotomy. Much better than 2nd degree tear with first (Also ventouse)

Very similar to my first delivery (38+4) - fast dilation once it started, slower pushing stage. Plus of induction was basically not spending most of early labour in the car - was turned away as not in labour enough and was pushing less than 3 hours later.

No insight into drip/artificial rupture of membranes as once started labour was going properly!

I was induced at 37+6, baby was born 38(though 13 minutes from 38+1), the pessary was long, boring, crappy but not enough! They took the pessary out after 24 hours, went to break my waters a few hours later and prepared the drip to be put on if in 4 hours there wasn’t enough progression. I went from 3cm to 10cm and him being born all in 17 minutes! Was a lovely labour and if I knew they would all be like that I would have another 😅 good luck OP x
