found out pg yesterday but having light spotting now, freaking out, pls help!!!!

Hi. Please help me if you can. I tested BFP yesterday and am so excited . Unfortunately, I have been seeing brown/dark red CM when i wipe (sorry if TMI) since yesterday . I had a miscarriage in Feb at 12 weeks and am so worried about losing this one. Can't get an appointment at GP until Mon. Just wondering if anyone had this type of spotting in early pregnancy and all was ok? Desperately need some reassurance. Thanks.

It could be just an implantation bleed.
When i was pg with ds i had this at about 8 weeks and everything was fine.

Hi there and congratulations! I have never had spotting in pg, but I believe that brown/dark red is a sign of old blood and you can get an implantation bleed. My understanding is that bright red blood which is fresh is something to worry about. If you're very worried, you could always self-refer to the Early Pregnancy Unit. They may scan you to see what is causing the bleeding.

i had spotting after i made love with DP! Could it be this?

I had a little bleed at 9.5 weeks, it was light pink and quite light. My midwife arranged an emergency scan and I had this the next day, all was well. It is really common to bleed, but you must get it checked out...good luck!

Thanks for all the messages everyone. I didn't get spotting like this with the first miscarriage.

I did get implantation bleed on Mon. I really thought AF was on it's way and even wore tampon on Tue. I only tested yesterday because I didn't get full bleeding as I was expecting.

I'm trying to say calm. Hopefully it's not a sign of miscarriage. Can't help worrying though....

I bled - same as what you're experiencing - from week five thru week 11. Got to be less and less at towards the last few weeks but it was pretty consistent. I'm 37 weeks now, for what it's worth!

There are loads of past posts about this - it just isn't that uncommon but it sure is scary!
