Another heavy bleed

I’ve become something of a serial poster on here lately I’m afraid...

This is my first pregnancy after 4 years ttc and 7 rounds of IVF. Had a huge bleed at 9 weeks, then a smaller one at 10 weeks and was diagnosed with a subchorionic hematoma. Had my 12 week nuchal scan last week when all looked well and they couldn’t see any trace of the hematoma thankfully.

However this morning I have been bleeding heavily on and off for the most part of the day, I have mild cramps but just passed a clot which I guess would be about the size the baby is now. I’m booked in for a private scan tonight but I’m so so scared, I think I already know what they will say. Sad Sad Sad

@sunshinegirl12
Nothing helpful to say - but didn't want to read and run - I am sorry you are having such a worry.

If you had a heartbeat on previous scans though and growth was where it should be there is every reason to hang on to hope. Some people bleed and it can all be fine. You've experienced 2 bleeds before - this might be the same.

Thinking of you. I have my first scan tomorrow. Have had minimal symptoms of pg so far so very worried about MMC. It is all I can think about so I totally understand your worries.

@sunshinegirl12 I'm so sorry you're going through this, especially after your journey. I can't offer any advice, but will offer a hand hold until someone more knowledgeable comes along. Thanks

Thank you both for your kind thoughts. I had a private scan this evening, baby is still there wriggling around, although they can’t see what has caused the bleed. I’m so pleased as was convinced it was all over, although I know there is absolutely no chance of me being able to relax at all now

Goodluck for your scan tomorrow Megan xx

So pleased for you! I can imagine you will continue to worry until this bleeding stops, but it goes to show that it isn’t over till its over!
