Miscarriage and bleeding

I wonder if anyone can help.
I had an emergency laparoscopy on Saturday for suspected ectopic pregnancy.

My hcg levels had gone from 1950 to 2221 in 48 hours which was not enough, according to the Doctor it should have doubled and this suggested ectopic. I had the surgery and it wasn't ectopic luckily. They said that they couldn't see anything in the womb when they scanned me at 5+3 so she said the baby is not developing sadly. My symptoms have also completely disappeared.
I have had some brown spotting since the operation which they said might happen but I thought I would be getting lots of bleeding?
I am getting a scan on Friday to see what is going on in there but I am guessing if they couldn't see anything before they won't see anything now.

I just wonder if anyone has been through this and when the bleeding started?
Also will it just happen naturally or do they give you something to make it happen?

Thanks in advance for any help.

So sorry you are going through this Flowers I hope that everything can be resolved quickly for you.

I was a little further along as they could see the sac etc. But they offered me options, to either wait it out, be given medical management or an operation. I chose the operation route just as I wanted everything to be dealt with quickly with minimal bleeding and pain.

Although I had MC my body didn't actually naturally bleed itself, I should have been 10 weeks but growth stopped just under 6 weeks.

Each body can be different and each MC is different. I should imagine you'll be given further information on choices and what to expect on friday xx

Thanks for your reply @TwittleBee so sorry for your loss too.
How was the recovery from the operation? Was it a laparoscopy?
I just want it to be over with now to be honest so I can move on.

I found out this morning that my baby isn't growing as it should. I don't know which option. Part of me prefers the natural route but the thought of it starting in the office horrifies me.

I'm sad for you both and sad for me too.

It was a ERPC and was unconscious the whole time of the OP, really looked after before and after. I had minimal discomfort from it and only bled lightly for 4 days afterwards.

I know how you Feel wanting it all to be over now. It's horrible waiting for it all to be over. I am so sorry you're going through this.

Oh I am sorry you're going through it too sophie - it's so horrible isn't it.

Honestly the op would be my choice again if, god forbid, I ever had to go through it again. I don't think I could cope with all the bleeding and pain of going natural.
