Severe round ligament pain?

Hi all,
I am sure this has been already discussed, but not sure how to search on the app...
I have got round ligament pain (the GP said), but it's so severe I cannot leave the bed. Will ring the midwife in the morning, but am stressing out it may be something worse. I still feel baby moving.
It's down on the right side going o my back and thigh. It is constant and feels like period pain, tender to touch. My whole abdomen feels heavy and uncomfortable. Has anyone had this? I am now 24 weeks.
No bleeding, no fever, not constipated , just pain. Would really appreciate your thoughts. I am tempted to ring the maternity unit to get it checked. Am 41 first baby, low placenta and medium fibroids. Thank you.

Sounds more like sciatica to me.

The abdomen heaviness and uncomfortable sounds like your just getting to the bigger bump stage.

Hiya I had this at 16 weeks and it turns out that one of my fibroids was degenerating. Worst. Pain. Ever!

I went into the hospital and insisted they checked me out. I was discharged with heavy pain meds and 5 weeks later I'm much better but still signed off and have to take it easy.

I hope it's not that but please check it out as it can send you into pre term labour and is excruciating. I spent weeks on the sofa with painkillers and a hot water bottle... I was walking bent over like a 95 year witch, and had to get my DH to tie my laces at times.

I didn't know I had fibroids until my12 week scan but they let me know just how viscious they can be! Best of luck.

Thank you ladies.
I am just about to ring the midwife. Eventually fell asleep at 7am but even then i could still feel pain.

Rung the maternity unit. Not interested to see me. Keep saying it's muscular, but now the pain has spread all over my abdomen. Have rung the GP and am waiting for a call back. I am completely immobilised at the moment. The pain is constant and feel over my cervix now. Still feel baby moving. I will be really happy if it's really round ligament or sciatica, but am scared it's worse. If the GP doesn't offer anything then I am going to AE. I can't breath at times. Feel utterly miserable and sorry for myself. My poor dog is waiting to be walked and I keep thinking it will soon be over so we can go, but no luck so far....
Feel like crying....
